My photographic series have continuity even in their titles. De la profundidad (Of the Depth) is the name of the subject that I worked before El respiro del viento (The Breath of the Wind.) With the photographs taken for Of the Depth I edited a book whose first image is about the nothingness and the last one is on the whole: the wind acts in the series as a transforming agent of both the natural elements and my own perceptive and intimate experience. The Breath of the Wind, the series now on display, has its origin in a boat trip I took in the Mediterranean. In it, I discovered the line produced by the blow of the water on the rocks. At the moment of the strike, the wind breathes, circulates and enhances its transformative action. I also took many photographs from the opposite place, from the stones to the sea ... Again, in my work, are the wind, the water, the rock, the intensity and greatness of nature in both its macro and micro manifestations.

I did the work using the digital technique, in color photography, simultaneously to the analog one based on black and white negatives. In the selection of the digital photographs and the compositions that I made with them, I was interested in highlighting or omitting, in its maximum degree of abstraction, the moment in which the wind is meeting the rock. In the black and white photographs, I emphasized the record of the wind's path, the movement made by it in large areas.

I have completed the photographic series with three videos. Each one of them is based on a color photograph, which has been animated with the movement of the camera and accompanied by the sound of breaths mixed with the effects of a viola da gamba.

This work continues my searching on the relationships between my intimate self and nature, my exploration of the sensations and perceptions that occur in the meeting between one and the other. Therefore, the images are located between both universes.
