At the beginning of this project, most photographs were taken to present my vision of beauty exposed through the simplicity of things. By doing so, I once again covered up the undercurrent of my feelings.

My self-discovery, that is, my inner exploration with the camera, changed the meaning and direction of this work. The language of photography has been transcendental for me because it has allowed me to approach my truth without judgment and with acceptance.

From a particular moment, I began to read the images I took as if they were transformed into expressions of a stage of my life experience.

The evolution of this work has been engaging and introspective. With abstract images or close to abstraction, I have aimed to explore concrete feelings. The photographs thus became a visual representation of the stages of my path through different sentiments: disconnection, melancholy, rupture, mending, and fortitude. Under this criterion I have configured the body of work titled Sentiment Journal.

In my photographs, I have discarded any attempt to describe the stages of pain in a documentary way. I have been interested in conceiving each image as a poetic visual allusion to one or another of the stadiums of my soul.

I am inclined to photograph in close-ups that allow me to highlight and emphasize the elements corresponding to each image, creating a feeling of closeness and intimacy with what is represented. I prioritize the subtlety in the detail that lets me transmit "stories," or better, feelings, in a sincere way.
