Patricia Van Dalen is a well-established Venezuelan artist based in Miami. With an extensive career in visual arts that spans over thirty-five years, her versatile body of work covers different realms of creation, including painting, site-specific installations, works incorporated into architectural spaces, designing tapestries and stained-glass windows, as well as several striking public artworks located in Venezuela. In 2003, the program Art  at Fairchild, held by the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami, started with her large-scale temporary installation Luminous Gardens.
